Dennis "Denny" E. Wallace

Denny Wallace, 84 passed away on December 25, 2024, from complications after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.

Denny was born April 12, 1940 in Portland, In, the son of John and Myrtle Wallace.

Denny graduated from Madison Township school in 1958, then went on to Ball State, earning a degree in Masters in Education. 

Denny married the love of his life Mary (Lee)on September 2, 1960. They have 3 children Shelly (Brad) Teams, John Wallace (Lezlie), and Christine (Steve) Holder along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Denny worked as a teacher and basketball coach at Pendleton Heights High School from 1972-1998. 

Denny especially loved coaching high school basketball. He led the Lady Arabians to 3 Sectional wins from 1992-1995. His love for the game was contagious and his spirit on the court was infectious. When he wasn’t on the basketball court, you could find Denny on the golf course.  

Remaining to cherish Denny’s memory are his brother Phil (Colene) Wallace and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Denny in death are his parents John and Mrytle Wallace and brother Pat Wallace.

Visitation will be held at the Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2024 with services beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery, Pendleton. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to PHHS Athletic Department for the Girl's Basketball Program, One Arabian Drive, Pendleton, IN 46064.
