Dennis L. Ryan

Dennis L. Ryan, 82, of Pendleton passed away December 27, 2022.

He was born May 26, 1940 in Alexandria and was a Pendleton resident most of his life.

Dennis graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1959 and had a perfect attendance record never missing a day of school. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed chess, bowling and golf. Dennis was an IU enthusiast and devoted pap who loved his grandchildren. He was a card shark, little league coach and enjoyed traveling. Most importantly Dennis was a born again Christian and loved the Lord.

He retired from Delco Remy, Anderson in 1997.

Survivors include his wife, Violet (Williams) Ryan; daughters, Lana Farrow and Julie (Larrie) Larkin; nine grandchildren, Johnathon, Jayla, Icesis, Tylis, Markise, Richard, James, Denny and Jackson; seven great grandchildren, Elijah, Kezleigh, Connor, Gannicus, Jazmin, Thomas and Nick.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Nina Ryan; brothers, Jack and Danny Ryan; and daughter, Deb Ryan.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Pastor Paul Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.

Visitation from 12 to 2 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
