Dennis E. Hopkins

Dennis E. Hopkins, 75, of Pendleton, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2018.He was born to Walter and Mary Hopkins on December 19, 1942 and was married to Betty (Terry) Hopkins for 55 years, the love of his life. He retired from Delco Remy. He was a 1961 graduate of Pendleton High School.Family was the most important priority in his life. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sports and musical events. Dennis loved the Lord. He faithfully attended Pendleton Baptist Church and served as church treasurer. He was strong in his faith, a loving husband and father. Dennis was full of joy and loved to laugh.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marshall (Betty) Hopkins; sister, Donna (Wayne) Renicker; brother-in-law, David Shuman; and niece, Kathy Hufford.Survivors include his wife, Betty; son, Aaron (Amy) Hopkins; daughters, Rhonda (Curtis) Hollingsworth and Robin (Robert) Roach; grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Ellis, Brittany (Ryan) Robinson, Ethan (Megan) Hollingsworth, Landis Hollingsworth, Lauryn Hopkins, Abigail Roach, Annalise Roach and Alexis Roach; great grandchildren, Grant Ellis, Mason Robinson, Greyden Robinson and Garrett Ellis; and sisters, Virginia (Melvin) Fisher, Barbara (Roy) McGee and Marilyn (Eldon) Ladd. Services 10 a.m., Friday at Pendleton Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pendleton.Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the church.Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E.
