Dennis Barnes

Dennis Barnes, 71, of Anderson, passed away on May 4, 2023 after fighting extremely hard against an extended illness. Dennis was born on March 26, 1952 in Anderson to the late, Jenny James. Dennis worked as a carpentry contractor for many years. He loved to spend his time with his great niece, Hannah Lee and her 5 children, whom he adored. He enjoyed the loving and playful companionship of his beloved dog, “Espn”. He also loved taking pleasure in spending his time with the many and dear friends he had.

Dennis will be dearly missed by his great-niece, Hannah Lee, but whom he loved as a daughter, and her husband, Johnathan Burn; his great nephew, Jacob Lee and his wife, Kristen Carter; his nieces, Mellissa Lee and Shelly Vetor; and his nephews, Brad Vail and Brent Vetor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jenny James; his sister and brother in law, Patricia and Glenn Jones; his brother and sister in law, Kenneth and Jannet Surber; his brother, Doug Barnes; as well as his nephew, Brian Deweese.
