Delpha Sue Romero, 83, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Orlando Reginal Medical Center. She was born on October 22, 1940 to Oscar Davis and Laura (Brashear) Davis.
She graduated from Lapel High School, class of 1958, and furthered her education at Marion College and obtained her Master’s degree from Ball State University in 1971. Delpha was a former school teacher with the Department of Defense while in Japan, and also worked in the Pendleton School system. After her teaching career, she worked with a real estate investment firm in San Francisco, California and was most recently working for Creative Memories Company. Beyond her career, Delpha was a woman of faith and her spiritual home in Indiana was the North Anderson Church of God.
Delpha is survived by her children, Jaime Romero, Paul (Martha) Romero, Toby Romero, Daniel (Terry) Romero, and Marlena Romero; One brother, David (Sharon) Davis; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul E. Romero; and two daughters, Alma and Andrea Romero.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30am – 11:30am on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 11:30am on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
