Delores Maxine Priddy

Delores Maxine (Forrer) Priddy, 95, Anderson, passed away at her residence on February 27, 2016.

Maxine was born October 6, 1920 in Lafayette Township (Florida Station)
to Bertha (Robinette) and Samuel P. Forrer. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1938, resided in Anderson her entire life, and during World War II was employed at Ward Stilson Company and Delco Remy Division of General Motors. Maxine was wed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1942 to Louis H. M. Priddy and the couple enjoyed 72 years of marriage until his death in April, 2014.

Maxine loved and respected all animals. She loved birds and butterflies and was especially fond of cats. Maxine always kept a cardboard box, lined with a soft blanket on hand, just in case a stray kitty needed a place to rest.

Maxine was a devoted wife and mother. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Stephen P. Priddy and his partner, Beverly Heider of Carmel, Susan J. (husband Robert) Pensec of Anderson, grandchildren, Michelle Salyers (husband Richard Frankel), Rob Pensec, Philip Salyers (wife Christy), three great-grandchildren Eleni Salyers, Jacob Salyers and Max Salyers, two nieces, Bobbi Graham and Maribeth McEachin, three nephews,
Peter Priddy, Rob Priddy and David Priddy and devoted neighbor and friend, Vivian Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in law, Keith K. and Edna Mae Forrer, and brothers and sisters-in-law Jack and Mary Karel Priddy and Robert and Marylou Priddy.

Services will be conducted at Brown- Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 12:00 noon, with James Tallman officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
