Delma H. “Joe” Layman, 89, passed away November 18, 2015 at Riverwalk Village, Noblesville.
He was born May 28, 1926 in Laclede County, MO, the son of the late Lewis and Blanch (Lue) Layman.
Joe served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater, and retired as a printer from Container Corporation of America in 1988 after 33 years.
He is survived by his three sons, Stan (Denise) Wilson of Anderson, Douglas (Kim) Layman of Frankton and Gregory (Michelle) Layman of VanBuren; grandchildren, Jennifer (Darin) Pratt, Brian Layman, Joe Layman, Elise Layman, Kevin Layman, Alex Layman, Jaden Layman, Hayden Layman and Caleb Layman; great-grandchildren, Xander, Dillon, Lily and Lucas; and two brothers, H.D. Layman and Paul Layman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada (Young) Layman, son, Rick Wilson, six brothers and one sister.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. November 24, 2015 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Courtley Granger officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors conducted by V.F.W. Post #266.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
