Della Lydia Riley

Della Lydia “Squirt” Riley, 88, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 27, 2023.  She was born in Upper Cannon Creek, Bell County, KY on March 23, 1935, the seventh child of Lucy Magnolia Owens Richards and Garrett Richards. Following graduation from Bell High School, Squirt moved to Indiana. She loved her church and retired from Delco Remy with 38 years of dedicated service. She laughed all the time and was a big support to her family whether as a little league mom or help as they became adults. She was loved by many friends. Squirt was preceded in death by her son, Keith Riley. Surviving is her loving son, Greg Riley, along with an extended family who will dearly miss her. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at Grace Baptist Church, 406 S. Maple St., Fortville, with Pastor Mark A. Kerfoot officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
