Deborah Mae Putman, 63, of Lapel, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness. 

She was born on October 6, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert Buchanan and Martha (Hendrickson) Brewner. She was a 1980 graduate of Columbus North High School. She was an account manager for Mays Chemical in Indianapolis. 

She loved camping and riding with Mike on the back of their motorcycle. She enjoyed crocheting and crafting. She loved making Christmas stockings.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Mike Putman; five children, Ami Hershberger of Lapel, Joshua (wife, Kelly) Hunter of Middletown, Austin Putman of Lapel, Jason Putman of Elwood and Scott (wife, Hillary) Putman of Florida; eleven grandchildren, Sydni, Johnny, Drew, Josh, Chase, Savanah, Abbey, Amira, Malia, Aria and Mason; three sisters, Sherri (husband, Phil) Schouten of Indianapolis, Vicki Johnson of Charlottsville, Lori Stasek of Indianapolis; a brother, Timothy Brewner of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Deborah's wishes were to be cremated. Her family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
