Deanna Dee Morris

Deanna Dee Morris, 51, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
She was born on June 15, 1957, in Anderson, Indiana to Samuel and Deloris (Stern) Morris.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1975 and received a bachelors degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1980.
Deanna worked over 15 years providing services for people with developmental disabilities.
She was a member of Perkinsville Community Church; she was a master gardener and enjoyed doing needlework and making crafts. She had a great love for animals, especially cats.
She is survived by two sisters, Anita Lynch of central Florida, and Wanda Pitser of Arlington, Wash.; seven nieces and nephews, Melissa Mitchell of Pittsboro, Christina Lynch of central Florida, Robin Pitser of Camano Island, Wash., Rita Pitser of Wash., Kelly Merritt of Arlington, Wash., Rick Pitser of Camano Island, Wash., and Scott Pitser of Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, August 15, 2008, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
