David M. Baker

David M. "Dave" Baker, 34, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis following a sudden illness. He was born on May 2, 1980, in Anderson, Indiana to Gary and Johanna (Early) Baker. He graduated from Lapel High School in 1998. David was employed at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis for the last three years. His life revolved around his son; he had a great interest in music; and enjoyed golf. He is survived by one son, Grayson Baker of Pendleton; his mother, Johanna (Early) Baker of Cicero; his father, Gary Baker of Anderson; one sister, Erin Baker of Newbury Park, CA; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Allen and Norma Early; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Rose Baker; and two uncles. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Grayson Baker Trust c/o Johanna Baker, 269 Iron Bridge Road, Cicero, Indiana 46034.
