David Lee Hendricks

David Lee Hendricks, 72 of Athens, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born on June 12, 1944, in Anderson, Indiana, to Herman and Eva (Sturdevant) Hendricks.
David graduated from Muncie Central High School and he retired from General Motors after working in many plants across the country.
He was a very generous man who donated to many charities. He was an avid golfer/
David is survived by his best friend, Lynn Ryan; two brother, Bill (wife, Diane) Hendricks and Myron (wife, Kathy) Hendricks; a sister-in-law, Norma "Pee Dad" Hendricks; and his beloved dog Lady (Butter Bean).
He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Hendricks; a brother, Harry Hendricks; and a sister, Norma Snyder.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on February 15, 2017, at Brookside Cemetery, 2900 Brookside Road, Lapel, Indiana with Pastor Glenn Knepp officiating and burial will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donors choice.
