David J. Davenport

David J. Davenport, 91, Muncie, passed away on April 18, 2020 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Woodbury, Tennessee on December 8, 1928 to the late Walter and Corbia (Todd) Davenport.David served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from General Tire as a Millwright after 30 years of service. He was a loving father and grandfather.He is survived by his children, Julie (Russ) Berry-Brinegar, James David (Connie) Davenport Sr., Dale Wayne (Melissa) Davenport; siblings, Wayne (Myra) Davenport, Nova Gray; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.David was preceded in death by his brother, Chad Davenport and his brother in-law, Tom Gray.Out of respect for personal and public safety, due to the current COVID-19 virus, a private family viewing and burial will take place.
