David Edenfield

August 22, 1942 — June 23, 2015

David Edenfield, 72, Fishers, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at his home following a brief illness. He was born on August 22, 1942, in Tampa, Florida to Paul and Alma (Shipman) Edenfield. He graduated from Great Commissions High School in 1960 and attended Bob Jones University. David retired from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson and had been an E. M. T. instructor for many years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret (Seal) Edenfield; six children, Faith Ostling of Fishers, Paul (wife, Lisa) Edenfield of New Castle, Joy (husband, Ken) Sullivan of Carmel, Hope Edenfield of Fort Wayne, Alexis Edenfield of Fishers, and Nate Edenfield of Fishers; eight grandchildren, Erin, Sam, Linden, Tiffany, Brittany, Kris, Jack, and Kate; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Rose, Khloe, and D. J.; his mother, Alma Louise Edenfield Todd of Tampa, FL; and two brothers, James (wife, Susan) Todd of Naples, FL and Mike (wife, Karla) Todd of St. Johnsbury, VT. He was preceded in death by his father; and his step-father, Delbert Todd. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 26, 2015, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Doug Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Lapel Fire Department or the Church of God Global Missions Mark and Kathy Fulton Haiti Mission.
