David Carson Watson

David Carson Watson, 84, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015.

He was born May 31, 1930 in Anderson to the late John & Laura (Fields) Watson.

On December 11, 1954 he married Rosalyn Johnson. He was a veteran of the US Navy. David was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was also a member of the the Madison County Shrine Club, Murat Temple, Fellowship Lodge, VFW Post #266, American Legion Post #127 & of the Elks. He volunteered as a driver for children to the Shriners Hospital for Children.

In addition to Rosalyn, he is survived by his daughters, Cindy Pulford (husband, Kevin) of Salt Lake City, UT and Julie Grimes (husband, John) of Anderson; grandchildren, Rachael Martin (Patrick Kuwik) of Seattle, WA and Robby Martin of Sarasota, FL; siblings, John Watson of Inverness, FL and Joyce Learned of Anderson; and several nieces & nephews.

David was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Swinford, Fern Hall, Florence Budd and Barbara Haines.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A.M. on Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Mark Walter officiating.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hosptials.
