Darrel Eugene Jackson

Darrel Eugene Jackson, 78, of Anderson, passed away February 8, 2018 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born July 8, 1939 in Anderson, the son of Herman and Zelma (Leonard) Jackson and he lived here his entire life. In 1956 he enlisted in the Army Air Corp. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. A self-made man, he was self-employed, running a lawn care service for several years. He also enjoyed woodworking. Darrel is survived by his daughter, Carinda Dawson, of Anderson; grandson, Kayden Schwab; sisters, Anna Summers, Ruth Radecky and Pat Tudor; and nieces, Jeanie Manis and Linda Toombs. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herman Jackson, Jr, Earl Jackson, Ernest Jackson, Lewis Jackson and Paul Jackson; and sisters, Esther Thompson and Lois Reasoner. There will be no services at this time.
