It is with deep sorrow, but also tremendous gratitude, a sense of peace and pride, that we say goodbye to our mother and grandmother, Darlene Sue (Williams) Wright who passed away on Oct. 30, 2021 at Harbor Manor Senior Living Community surrounded by her family. She was born on June 27, 1937, in Anderson, Indiana to Nathan Eli and Vera Marie (McCarty) Williams. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1955 and then attended Indiana University. She was employed in the accounting department at Guide Lamp till 1960. She was married to Gene Paul Wright on Feb. 19, 1959 at First United Methodist Church. She was happily married for 63 glorious years. Nothing was more important to Sue than being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed giving to others throughout her life. She loved cooking and playing cards with her family and friends. She volunteered in her church, community, and the school Parent Teacher Organization. Surviving family members are Gene Paul Wright (husband), children David E. Wright, Linda W. Wilson (Steve), Laura A. Krivoshia (Shaun). Grandchildren are Katelyn K. Kiser (Matt), Cameron S. Krivoshia, Collin W. Krivoshia, Tyler S. Wilson, and Amanda G. Wilson. The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Rairdon will be officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park. All memorial contributions in Darlene’s name may be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
