Daniel L. Prater

Daniel L. Prater, 75, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Saint Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
He was born on June 12, 1942, in Noblesville.
Dan retired from the former Guide Lamp division of General Motors in Anderson.
He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625.
Dan is survived by his wife, Edith (Hight) Prater; two sons, Gary (Paula) Ingle and Anthony (Tiffany) Prater; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Pam Prater.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Barrett; and a brother Russell.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon Saturday at the funeral home and a Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 am.
