Dan Cantrell, 63, of Pendleton, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his home in Pendleton.
He was born on September 13, 1960, in Livingston, Tennessee to Charles and Shirley (Tinch) Cantrell. He was a 1978 graduate of Muncie Central High School. He earned his associate's degree through Ivy Tech Community College in 1989. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree through Strayer College in 2017.
He was the coordinator for Canpack in Muncie. He previously owned a computer company. He was also a certified celebrant. He previously owned a computer company. He was also a certified celebrant.
He loved playing video games and being outdoors. He was a handyman. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades and could do anything. He enjoyed working on cars and computers. He loved taking care of his family. At his previous job at Amazon, he was known as Papa. Dan loved to go riding on his 1994 Harley-Davidson Special Edition motorcycle. He also enjoyed taking care of his chickens.
Dan is survived by his wife, Cathy Cantrell whom he met in his junior year of high school; two sons, Michael Cantrell of Las Vegas, Nevada and Craig (fiancee, Claire Romanoff) Cantrell of Brownsburg; his mother, Shirley Cantrell of Fort Wayne; a sister, Kim Lennen of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, Indiana, with Pastor Aaron Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the funeral home.
