Dallace Wayne Hazelbaker, 80, of Frankton, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at his residence following a brief battle with cancer.He was born July 8, 1941, in Rushville, Indiana to Carrol Samuel Hazelbaker and Elizabeth "Bess" (Shewmaker) Hazelbaker.Dallace graduated from Lapel High School.He retired in 2010 from driving a truck for several different companies for over 45 years.Dallace served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles, Teamsters Union, and was on the Advisory Board of the Pipe Creek Township Trustees. He was also a Precinct Committeeman for the Democratic Party. Dallace enjoyed running his produce stand in the local area, running a small engine repair shop in Lapel. He loved NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandy Hazelbaker of Frankton; children, Tami (Glen) Pattengale of Alexandria, Traci (Glenn) Pattengale of Parker City, Timothy Hazelbaker of Westfield, and Tara Hazelbaker of New Orleans, LA.; brother, Charles (Nancy) Hazelbaker of Markleville; granddaughter and great-granddaughter that they raised, Julie Gray, and Madison of Frankton; several grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Dallace was also survived by many nieces and nephews.Dallace was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Hazelbaker; daughter-in-law, Patricia Hazelbaker; and a grandson, Kristopher Hazelbaker.A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Jason Lindahl officiating. Burial of ashes will follow in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
