Cynthia Diana Johnson

Cynthia Diana (Hope) Johnson, 59, of Alexandria went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 14th, 2017 while at home with her son by her side. Cindy was born in Anderson on October 28th, 1957 to Richard and Marilyn (Carl) Hope. She was a 1975 graduate of Highland High School. She attended Ball State University before transferring and graduating from the Anderson University School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Cindy worked a majority of her nursing career in Cardiology at Ball Memorial Hospital, before most recently taking a position in case management at Community Hospital of Anderson. In 1983 Cindy married her former husband, Kenneth Johnson and together they had one son, Bradley. Cindy enjoyed camping, scrapbooking, gardening, quilting, spending time with family and friends, attending church, and even secretly enjoyed playing with her grand dogs Vamp and Sophie. Cindy loved to attend regular and small group sessions at her church home, Destiny Christian Center International, in Muncie. Cindy is survived by her son Bradley Hope of Alexandria, Father and Sisters, Richard Hope, Sharon Bryant, Brenda (Rob) Fattig, and Jane Hope all of Anderson; aunts, Kate (Verlin) Pierce, Joanna Younts; many Nieces and Nephews: Nathan (Erin) Daniel, Amber (Luke) Jefferson, Brandon, Casey, Lindsey Hope; Taylor (Clayton) Butler, Lauren and Kayla Fattig. Great Nieces, Justice Stafford, Alexa Daniel, and Addison Jefferson, Great-Nephews Brody Daniel and Gage Jefferson. Special Friends: Cindy Williamson, Brenda Nichols, Kenny Johnson, Jane Edging, Katie Edgell, Debbie Jarvis, and Karla McGaughy. Cindy was preceded in death by her brother Mark, Mother Marilyn, Grandparents Malcolm and Lucille Hope, of Anderson, and May Carl of Fairmount. Cindy’s family would like to thank Dr. Bilal Siddiqui for his excellent and loving care. Services will be Tuesday at 6:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will take place.
