Cynthia Sue "Susie" Brinker, 74, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at Community Hospital in Anderson. Born on October 22, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana, she was the daughter of Randolph Henry Poor and Harriett May Poor (Pemwell), both of whom preceded her in death.
Cynthia was a proud graduate of Pendleton High School, Class of 1968. She dedicated 40 years of her life as a prison guard for the Indiana Department of Corrections, where she rose to the rank of Captain. Outside of work, Cynthia found joy in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that were cherished by family and friends. Above all, family was everything to Cynthia. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter. Her warmth and spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Cynthia is survived by her sons, Dale (Shelli) Brinker and Todd (Suprina) Brinker; siblings, Don Poor and Judy Earlywine; grandchildren, Joseph (Amanda) Brinker, Brittany (Robert) Ashworth, and Jake Brinker; and 1 great grandchildren, Trenton Brinker. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Richard, Wayne, Morris, George, Steven, Tommy, and John.
