Craig B. Campbell, 76, of Anderson, passed away October 8, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born July 22, 1938, in Anderson, the son of Jack B. and Lois M. (Howerton) Campbell and was a lifelong Anderson resident.
He graduated from Anderson High School, DePauw University and Indiana University School of Law.
He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, Depauw University Alumni Association and a life member of Indiana University Alumni Association. Craig was also on the Board of Directors for the House of Hope of Madison County.
He was awarded Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Robert Orr.
Craig served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1961, was Deputy Prosecutor from 1964-1970, served seven terms in the Indiana General Assembly as a State Representative, was a public defender for Anderson City Court for twelve years and retired from the Campbell & Campbell Law Firm.
He is survived by his son, Scott B. Campbell of Pendleton; his daughter, Christy (husband, Rob) Wagner of Zionsville; three grandchildren, Zach Wagner, Caroline Wagner and Maria Wagner all of Zionsville; and aunt, Wilma Barrow of Anderson.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the House of Hope of Madison County.
