Constance Workman, 97, Anderson, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at Alexandria Care Center following an extended illness.
She was born on April 4, 1914, in Madison County, Indiana to George and Elnora (Nicholson) Hendricks.
Constance retired from the Madison County Children's Home where she was a cook.
She was a member of the Elm Grove Christian Church; and the Elm Grove Ladies Aid.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry (wife, Barbara) Durant of Moonville; Wilbur D. (wife, Gail) Durant of Livingston, TN; and Willis (wife, Evelyn) Durant of Anderson; six grandchildren, Michael Durant, Marcia Conover, Richard Durant, Roger Durant, David Durant, and Debbie Fisher; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her patents; her first husband, Glen Lee Durant; and her second husband, Joseph Workman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 22, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Bill Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Friday, April 22, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
