Connie Jean Hunt

Connie Jean Hunt, 68, formerly of Anderson, passed away unexpectedly, on April 28, 2017, at Community Hospital North. She was born September 2, 1948, in Anderson, the daughter of Eddie and Mabel (Benjamin) Scantland. She had been employed by the Finance Center at Ft Benjamin Harrison and retired after 45 years of employment. She is survived by a son, Wesley (wife, Joan) Hunt, of New Castle; grandchildren, Jessica, Madison, Courtney, Samuel, and Sergio; a great grandson, Gabriel; sisters, Nancy Michael, Judy Scantland, and Linda Harris all of Anderson; and a loving companion, Charlie Proffitt of Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
