Colton David Creel, 24, of Anderson passed away on November 29, 2020 at his home. Colton was born on April 15, 1996 in Indianapolis to Stephen Creel and Holly (Newkirk) Tate. He was a 2014 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School, and then earned his degree from International Business College. Colton was a Graphic Designer for Gannett Mass Media in Indianapolis. He was a lover of music and performed many times solo, as well as, with the Old Poet Band. He attended the Good Shepherd Community Church in Pendleton where he helped his grandparents with music for the church. Colton was very proud of his grandfathers’ ministry at Good Shepherd, and that fact that his grandfather was President of the Southeastern Evangelistic Groups, Inc.Colton is survived by his father, Stephen (Karmen) Creel; mother, Holly (Newkirk) Tate; fiancé, Morgan Cunningham; son, Bexon Creel; siblings: Elijah Creel, Cameron Dowen, Carli Tate, Gracie Tate and Alexandra Creel; grandparents: Rev. Claude and Myra Creel and grandmother, Deborah L. Phillips; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Colton’s family will celebrate his life at 1:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2020 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel in Pendleton, where his grandfather, Rev. Claude Creel will officiate. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home, and again from 11:00 AM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions for Colton’s son, Bexon, can be made to the Fall Creek Christian Women’s Ministry; checks are to be made directly to Bexon Creel.
