Cody Michael Brinson

Cody Michael Brinson, 20, Middletown, passed away Monday December 12, 2016 following a car accident. He was born in Muncie on November 30, 1996 and lived in Middletown his entire life. He was a member of the Shenandoah Class of 2015 where he played tennis. On May 31, 2015 he married Macey Helton and she survives him. He loved his job at Ed Martin, where he was able to fulfill his love of driving cars and get paid while doing it. In addition to Macey, he is survived by his son, Cody Michael Brinson, Jr.; father, Mike (Brandi) Brinson of New Castle; mother, Brenda Abbott-Brinson of Nashville; brothers, Chris (Emily) Brinson of Greenwood and Kyle (Morgan) Brinson of Indianapolis; paternal grandmother, Betty Griffith of Middletown; maternal grandmother, Helen (Ron) Kluth of Bullhead City, AZ; niece, Blakely Brinson; nephew, Caiden Brinson; and special cousin, Ava Griffith. Cody was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and fishing buddy, Richard Griffith and maternal grandfather, Arthur Abbott. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory and cremation will follow. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
