Clifford "Cliff" Wilhoit, 77, of Anderson, passed away on October 31, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 20, 1947 in Manhattan, New York to the late Calvin R. and Ann C. (Tomasulo) Wilhoit. Cliff graduated from Anderson High School in 1965 and then began working for Delco-Remy and retired after 30 years. Cliff and his wife, Vera, spent 34 years together. Cliff loved playing video games, watching NASCAR, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs, and going to the Indy 500. Most importantly, Cliff loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Cliff will be dearly missed by his wife, Vera; sons, Doug (Kay) Wilhoit, Keith (Tonya) Wilhoit, and John (Patty) Wilhoit; daughter, Michelle (Larry) Dillender; step-daughter, Kristina Shoemaker; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Karen Gustin, Gayle Johnson, and Valerie (Bill) Spurlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Katie Wilhoit; brother-in-law, Michael Gustin; great-granddaughter, Kayla Harless; and niece, Chrissy Payne.
The visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Madison County SPCA or the Animal Protection League. Cliff's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes.
