Clariece Darlene Chapin-Burke, 79, of Anderson, IN passed away on October 25, 2021. She was born on June 28, 1942, in Anderson, IN to Virgil Alan and Bernice Marie (Hall) Williams. Darlene worked for Western Electric for a number of years. She found her spiritual home at Gethsemane Foursquare Church and was a faithful member for many years. Darlene loved Bible study and would attend it regularly. She also enjoyed traveling. Most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with them. Darlene will be dearly missed by her children, Melanie (Terry) Cooper, Derek (Judy) Chapin, and Tiffany (Paul) Spudich; her grandchildren, Charlie Cook, Kassy (Joseph) Scott, Kayla Chapin, Cole (Catrina) Chapin, Claire Spudich, Seth Spudich, and Nathaniel Spudich; her 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Melvin (Judy) Williams; her sister, Joyce Shaw; and her sister-in-law, Pat Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Chapin; her husband, Gary Burke; her brother, Marvin Williams; and her brother-in-law, Don Shaw. The visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park. Pastor Bob Henderson will be officiating. All memorial contributions in Darlene’s name may be gifted to Gethsemane Foursquare Church Food Bank.
