Clarence Edward Warmke, Jr. 87, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born on June 21, 1930 in Anderson to the late Genevieve (Freeman) and Clarence Edward Warmke, Sr. Clarence graduated from Anderson High School in 1948 and completed a four-year tool-making apprenticeship. In 43 years at Guide Lamp, he took five sick days. Clarence took immense pride in his family and enjoyed years of camping and fishing with friends. He relished being in his boat, fishing pole in hand. He loved the Reds, Pacers, and Colts. Clarence was an honest, hardworking, gentle man with a robust sense of humor. He is survived by his son, Thomas E. (Jann) Warmke of Pendleton; four granddaughters, Laurie (Matt) Shahnavaz of Fishers, Lana (Scott) Boswell of Indianapolis, Beth (Joe) Krejsa of Muncie, and Kara Warmke of Mt. Juliet, TN; two grandsons, Dr. Brandon Warmke of Perrysburg, OH, and Dr. Craig (Laura) Warmke of DeKalb, IL. Clarence also has 10 great-grandchildren, a dear sister-in-law, Judy (John) Johnson of Spring Hill, Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Warmke; daughter, Cynthia Miller; brothers, Kenny Warmke, Fred Warmke, William Warmke and Floyd Herrman; and sister, Claris Ann Johns. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Rev. Dr. Randy Davis will officiate. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
