Clara (Koopman) Robinson was born in Starlight, Indiana, daughter of George & Eva (Huth) Koopman. She moved to Anderson in 1945 and went to work at Delco Remy the day she arrived. She married Frank Robinson in 1948. Then retired from Delco after 10 plus years to raise her family. Clara is survived by two daughters, Karen Robinson & Mary Anne (Courtney) Smith; four sons, Frank Robinson, Jr, Fritz (Nila) Robinson, Francis (Rita) Robinson, Kevin (Sandy) Robinson; nine grandchildren, Marlin, Courtney II, TJ, Shenna, Frankie, Christopher, Amy, Cody, & Katie Jo; several great & great-great grandchildren; and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Janet Jenkins; five siblings, Louise, Eva, Joe, Gilbert, & Fritz. She is a member of St. Mary & St. Ambrose parishes and Daughters of Isabella. Mom had a kind soul and beautiful spirit. She shared her love for God, the Blessed Mother Mary & the Rosary with everyone she met. She didn’t know a stranger. Her smile and spirit would light up the room and brighten the life of those around her. She loved to cook, bake, and serve others. She also enjoyed music & playing her harmonica. She loved growing roses and sharing them with loved ones. When she finally got time to rest she enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk & EWTN. For ninety-two years she gave it everything she had. She will be dearly missed and loved always. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, October 26, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with Monsignor Robert Sell III officiating. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m., and from 11:30-12:45 p.m on Friday all at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose or St. Mary Catholic Church.
