Cindy Lou Galliher, 60, Anderson, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following a two-year battle with cancer.
She was born on October 20, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana to James and Fannie (Price) Conkin.
She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1969.
Cindy was a member of the Hancock County Extension Homemakers; several bowling leagues; and helped at the Indiana School for the Blind.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Charles Galliher; two children, James and Christopher Galliher of Anderson; two sisters, Kay (husband, Harley) Cox of Greenfield, and Charlotte (husband, Larry) King of Georgetown, TX; an aunt, Alberta Layton of Fort Wayne; an uncle, Robert (wife, Denise) Moore of West Monroe, LA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Ben and Robin Lamey, Sue Ginder, Joyce Snow; the members of the Silver Stars Bowling League in Noblesville; and friends at Coopers Sport Bowl in Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James Bud and Michael Conkin.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Harry Kirchenbauer and Ben Lamey, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel at a later date.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
