Christy Barger

Christy Barger, 66, of Logansport, Indiana passed away December 31, 2024, at Millers Merry Manor, Logansport.

She was born on September 2, 1958, in Anderson to the late Perry E. & Barbara Joyce (Slack) Hopper. Christy graduated from Pendleton Heights High School. She retired from Cracker Barrel.

Christy enjoyed singing, dancing, watching pastors on the television, Lifetime movies & Hallmark Christmas movies. She was a big people person, welcoming to anybody with the biggest and brightest smile. Family was what she was most proud of and she was a loving grandma to her 8 grandsons.

Christy is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Bulmaro Martinez) Barger & Danielle (Rick) Southerland; siblings, Kerry (Leigh Ann) Hopper & Patrice (John) Hinshaw; grandchildren, Isaiah, Christopher, Cain, Noah, Cameron, Elias, Eddie & Carson; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews; as well as additional family & friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Danny Hopper; nephews, Dustin Hopper, Steven Wilson & Nathaniel Hopper.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson with Rev. Claude Creel officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-12:00 pm at the funeral home.
