Christopher L. “Chris” Holland, 54, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family, on August 21, 2015.
He was born January 1, 1961, in Anderson, the son of Melvin Holland and Jacqueline “Sparks” Brown, and was a lifelong Anderson Resident.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and major wrestling fan. He loved to spend hours searching in storage lockers and at auctions looking for a good “find”. He enjoyed a good bidding war and the hours he spent at auctions with his auction buddies.
Chris was a special loving husband and son, a wonderful supportive father, a strong caring brother, and a spoiling Pappy.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jane Holland; mother, Jackie Brown; father and stepmother, Melvin and Lana Holland; daughters, Amanda Holland, Ashlee Holland and Autumn (Cornordo Scott) Holland; granddaughters, Makayla Huckeby, Jacie Huckeby; brother and sisters, Steve (Donna) Holland, Christina (Kevin) Shambaugh, Zonda (Greg) Jarvis, Jenee (Jerry) Wilber and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Beulah and Charles Sparks; stepfather, Fred Brown; brother, Chuck Sparks; and friends, Max Johnson and Steve McClintock.
Funeral Services will be 11a.m. Tuesday, August 25 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Gary McManus officiating.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 24, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
