Chloe Ellen Clase, nee Miller (formerly Daniel) was welcomed by her Lord & Savior on Monday, December 6, 2021. She passed away peacefully at home under hospice care after a short battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who was loved by many. Chloe graduated from Anderson High School in 1971. Prior to that she attended 7th grade in Murphysboro, IL. She was such a popular transfer student, several one-year classmates continue to stay in touch and invited her to attend their class reunions. Married to the love of her life, Judge Stephen D. Clase on November 8, 1985, they were inseparable, never spending more than one night apart in their 40-year love story. She had a prior marriage to Jim D. Daniel with whom she had her son, Joshua. Chloe worked at the Center for Mental Health prior to marriage, leaving to become a fulltime homemaker in 1985. She was a fun loving, cheerful, but private person who love to dance and play guitar. Being a gifted home decorator, they bought, lived in, and sold seven residences in 40 years. She had a marvelous and mischievous sense of humor and was a playful wordsmith. Chloe is survived by her husband, Stephen; son, Joshua D. Daniel; mother, Virginia (nee McDorman) Carroll of Kokomo; sisters, Kelly (Michael) Haynes of Arizona & Patricia (Keith) Etherington of Anderson; brother, Jim (Venetia) Carroll of Kokomo; sister-in-law, Melicent Schrader; brother-in-law, Ron Clase, both of Florida; stepchildren, Andrew Clase, Angela Conner, & Elizabeth Freitas; grandchildren, Allison, Gaven, Bennett, & Hadley; many aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenny Miller; and stepfather, John Carroll. Special thanks to the capable and caring doctors, nurses and staff of Ascension St. Vincent Hospital & Hospice. Also special thanks to good friends, Marna Boblitt, Curtis Farran, and Dr. Chad Lamb. Services were at Noon Thursday, December 9, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial was at East Maplewood Cemetery. The service was streamed on Facebook. Visitation was from 10 am until the time of the services at the funeral home.
