Charles Teeters

Charles "Chuck" Teeters, 56, Lapel, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended battle with cancer. He was born on March 31, 1956, in Noblesville, Indiana to Norris and Thelma (Martin) Teeters. He graduated from Lapel High School in 1974. Chuck retired from General Motors in Indianapolis after over 30 years of employment. He was a member of the Lapel Sons of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing, golf and NASCAR. He is survived by two children, Melissa (husband, Josh) Vazquez of Anderson, and Charles (wife, Monica) Teeters, II of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Kylie, Kadyn, and Ashlynn Teeters, and Jaxon Vazquez; his mother Thelma (Martin) Teeters of Lapel; one brother, Norris (wife, Stacey)Teeters, Jr. of Lapel; one sister, Susan Ringvelski of Pendleton; and three nieces and nephews, Blaine and Tristen Teeters, and Reagan Ringvelski. He was preceded in death by his father. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will follow in Prairie Memorial Cemetery, rural Noblesville. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lapel American Legion Post 212, the National Rifle Association, or American Cancer Society.
