Mr. Charles Lloyd Hughes

Charles Lloyd Hughes, 83, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018. He was born January 16, 1935, in New Castle. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for E.A.S.Y. Electronics in Anderson. Charles loved to fish and singing gospel music. He is survived by his son, Charles “Chuck” Hughes, Jr.; stepson, Robert Clayton; sister, Geneva Morrow; brothers, Raymond, James, Allen, & Bill Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma J. Hughes; son, Jerald Scott Hughes; mother, Mildred Marie (Shadoan) Kennedy; father & stepmother, Robert Ray & Sylvia Hughes; sisters, Betty L. Hughes, Roberta M. Hill, Alice M. Gordon, Laura G. Huckaby, Shirley Pennington, & Sue Garner. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
