Charles Junior Cole

Charles Junior Cole, 97, of New Castle, Indiana passed away August 28, 2023 at Addison Place in New Castle. He was born March 4, 1926 in Markleville, Indiana to the late Charles R. and Maggie (Ritter) Cole.

Junior graduated from Cadiz High School in 1944 and was a member of Kennard Christian Church. He was a World War II US Army veteran. Junior enjoyed hunting and farming.

He retired from Chrysler Corporation in New Castle in 1990 after 42 years of service.

Survivors include his children, Susan Coomer of Kennard, Kathy Fox of Kennard, Jeff (Nancy) Cole of Greenfield and James (Brylene) Cole of Greenfield; sister-in-law, Jean Nelson; grandchildren, Brian (Brandy Walters) Cole of New Castle, Erin (Joel) FoxDoan of Kennard and Megan (Zackary Davis) Fox of Murphysboro, Illinois; and great grandchildren, Keenan, Korban, Kyran, Kastan, Ellis, Bellamy, Alison and Madison.

Junior was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Wesley) Cole whom he married November 25, 1948 and passed away April 26, 2020.

A private family farewell will be held with a graveside service including military honors at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023 at McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson, Indiana.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Condo and St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson.
