Charles E. "Chuck" Cunningham, 85, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Community Northview Care Center in Anderson following an extended illness. He was born on January 8, 1930, in Elwood, Indiana to Charles Everett and Irene (Stone) Cunningham. Chuck was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. Chuck retired from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson. He was a life member of the May Berry American Legion Post 469 in Frankton and had volunteered as a Red Coat at Community Hospital in Anderson for many years. Chuck is survived by his wife of 13 years, Carolyn (Schafer) Cunningham; three children, Terri (husband, Richard) Clark, John (wife, Merri Lea) Cunningham, and Tonya (husband, Chet) Bowlin; three step-children, William (wife, Marie) Althaus, David Althaus, and Michael (wife, Cybele) Althaus; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the May Berry American Legion Post 469, 116 Washington Street, Frankton, Indiana 46044.
