Charles Donald Wright

Mr. Charles Wright went to be with his Lord peacefully on the evening of October 31, 2023, at the age of 88, in Kirtland Ohio, near his daughter’s home.

Mr. Wright served in the US Army for three years, then worked at New York Central Railroad for 10 years. He was also founder and owner of Wright Auto Electric, and worked there for 52 years.

Charles loved his Lord, his family, and his church family. Charles came to know the Lord as a young man, and loved him with all of his heart. He served as a bus driver, choir member, and other ministries at Grace Baptist Church.

Charles particularly  loved nature, and all who know him knew how much he loved to fish.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Lou Wright, and his four children, Susan French (Mark), Donald Wright (Michelle), Barry Wright (Leanna), and Gloria Hobi (Kent), 11 grand children, and 22 great-grandchildren). Charles was preceded in death by three sons, Larry Wayne, Thomas Lee, and Matthew Edward.

A memorial service will be held for Charles Donald Wright, resident of Anderson, Indiana for the past 67 years, at Grace Baptist Church, 432 W 300 N, in Anderson, Indiana, on November 13, 2023, at 11 AM. Pastor Daniel Stevens will officiate. Family and friends may call during a visitation time immediately preceding the service, from 10 to 11 AM.  Mr. Wright will be laid to rest in Maplewood cemetery in North Anderson.
