Cecil E. Youngs

August 31, 1937 — December 6, 2024

Pendleton

Cecil (Buck) Youngs, 87, passed away on Dec. 6th, 2024. Buck was a cable splicer for over 50 years and retired from Frontier. He was an Army Veteran who enjoyed Country and Bluegrass music, Football, NASCAR, reading western novels, collecting belt buckles, and watching the History Channel. He also thoroughly enjoyed sharing stories from his time stationed in Germany, and about pranks he and his friends pulled on people in his teens. (We still wonder how a particular gentleman got his Volkswagen out of his garage after they picked it up and turned it sideways!)

Buck tremendously loved his family and getting together with his friends for breakfast.

Buck is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan Youngs; his daughters Lori (Marco) Mora, Krista Youngs, and Tabitha (Jay) Baker; Granddaughters Corina (Stewart) Mora-Macias and Ashlee (Glenn) Mora-Drzewicki; and great grandchildren Skyla, Melanie, Karissa, Sean, and Elijah.

Buck chose to forego having a funeral service.

In honor of his care for Veterans please make donations to Indy Warrior Partnership (IWP).

"He's loved by so many people. He's always been my hero. The kind of man every guy should be. A hard worker and a great provider. He listens to my problems. He gives the best hugs and can always make me laugh. I love him very much. The man. The myth. The legend. Papa."

(Chorus from his 87th birthday song, written by Tabitha Baker)

Buck's arrangements entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
