Carroll G. Pappy Harris

Carroll G. Pappy Harris, 73, Lapel, passed away Friday, December 7, 2007, at his residence following a one month illness.
He was born on January 12, 1934, Kentucky to Ernest and Velma (Leach) Harris.
Carroll retired in 1984 from Delco Remy.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Harris; five children, Timothy G. (wife, Pam) Harris of Westfield, Vicky (husband, Bill) Meldahl of Noblesville, Terry L. (husband, Gregory J.) Krieg of Westfield, Deborah Harris of Fort Wayne, and Rodney (wife, Cherlyn) Harris of Noblesville; two step-children, Vicki (husband, Terry) Kendall of Knightstown, and Cheri Small of Anderson; his mother, Velma (Leach) Harris of Noblesville; seventeen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by, his father, Ernest Harris; and one grandson, Brandon J. Harris.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Russell Irwin officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
