Mrs. Carolyn Sue Harrison

August 26, 1938 — September 16, 2018

Carolyn Sue (Brower) Harrison, age 80, of Anderson-Pendleton. Carolyn was born in Anderson, the daughter of Mary Ruth & Frederick Louis Brower. She graduated with a master’s degree in education from Ball State University. She worked in the Anderson Community Schools K-6 for many years. A lifelong member of Central Christian Church for 70 years. She married Larry K. Harrison in 1963 and raised two children on Shady Lane which was a very special place for Carolyn. There she enjoyed the tall oak trees, feeding the backyard birds, watching the squirrels gather nuts and attending to her flower boxes which always had coral colored impatiens. When not in Anderson she and Larry spent their time in Naples Florida. Survivors include husband, Larry Harrison; son, Craig Harrison; daughter & son-in-law, Leslie & Tony Taylor; half brother, Bob Blount; granddaughter, Emily Harrison; cousin, Marty Kettron; great niece, Dolli Kettron and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary & Fred Brower. Carolyn was brave, graceful, kind and gentle prior and during her fight against Alzheimer’s Disease. There are so many gracious friends, caregivers that joined her during this fight. We are ever so grateful to each and everyone one of you. Funeral Services will take place in the Chapel at Maplewood Cemetery on Saturday September 22 at 11:00 am with Pastor Rick Vale officiating followed by a Celebration of Life at the home of Tony & Leslie Taylor. We welcome everyone to join us. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Christian Church, 923 Jackson Street, Anderson, IN, 46016 or the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 please write on check Carolyn S. Harrison-local Anderson Indiana Chapter. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
