Carolyn Jane Rudolph

Carolyn Jane "Janie" (Newby) Fry Rudolph, 70, Anderson, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born on August 26, 1945, in Anderson, Indiana to James and Mary (Johnson) Newby.

She graduated from Lapel High School in 1963.

Janie had worked for many years at Rowland Title and the former Community Bank.

She was a member of Connection Pointe Church in Anderson where she served as one of the pastors of the senior living group.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Rudolph; one daughter, Deborah (Fry)(husband, Rob) Lundy of Mooresville; five grandchildren, Keith Fry, Wesley Hudson, Jacob Hudson, Bethany Palmer, and Nathan Palmer; two great-grandchildren, Addison Glore and Arriana Fry; three brothers, Jim Newby, John Newby, and Steve Newby; one sister, Christy Phillips; and a special family friend, Hester Peters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Teresa Hudson; and a sister, Marjorie Mora.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 26, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Tim Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
