Carolyn B. Renner

Carolyn B. Renner, 96, Fishersburg, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, at Harbour Manor Health and Living Community in Noblesville. She was born on January 31, 1917, in Sheridan, Indiana to Gale and Estella (Paskell) Cottingham. She was a member of the Fishersburg Wesleyan Church and enjoyed all the gatherings with the church. She traveled with her husband and listened to his band play at nursing facilities and other locations. She is survived by her husband of 78 years, Jake Renner; two children, Marlene Lackey and Dennis (wife, Jill) Renner all of Anderson; three grandchildren, Debbie Lackey of Noblesville, Jeff Lackey of Pearl, MS, and Britt Turner of Anderson; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Evelyn Horton and Helen Salee; and one brother, Edward Cottingham. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Fishersburg Wesleyan Church.
