Carol Ruth Crosley, 90, passed away on April 6, 2020 after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. Carol was born August 4, 1929 in Lanark, Illinois to the late Ruth & Ray Hawk. Carol married the love of her life, Jack in 1947. They resided in Pendleton all 72 years of married life, most of which in the house that Jack built!Carol was a loving homemaker as well as friend, sister, aunt, the best Nana ever. She loved to play bridge with her couples’ and ladies’ groups and was a collector of cardinals and candlewick. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, past member of the museum board and of Sigma Phi Gamma, and retired secretary of South Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy (Paul) Merriman; Beth (Bob) Heath; and her fun-loving daughter, Vicki Lynn Jones. Carol is survived by her husband, Jack Crosley; sons, Eric Wayne Crosley & Michael J. Crosley; daughter, Deanna (Ken) Fowler; son-in-law, Greg (Diana) Jones; grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Kemper, Robyn (Jason) Morrissette, Andrew (Kim) Jones, Stephanie (Todd) Bieberich, Prema (Vanessa) Crosley, & Brent (Maria) Fowler. Nana loved her great-grandchildren with all of her heart, Mackenzie, Kyle, Madeline, Jackson, Braelynn, Avery, Brynn, Sophia, & Ella; special nieces & nephews, Patty (Dick) Dunbar, Bill (Judy) Heath, G.T. (Maria) Heath, and Joanne (Hank) Shoenk. Carol was blessed to be survived by a huge family of brothers & sisters-in-law; several other nieces, nephews, and so many good friends that can carry on her legacy of love!The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Eddy & staff, along with the office of Dr. Lawler for the tremendous care that was given, also clergy Bud Probasco & Michelle Cobb for their spiritual support. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for friends and family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pendleton First United Methodist Church, Pendleton Ambulance, Pendleton Museum, or charity of choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel.
