Carol Joan Kirby

Carol Joan Kirby, Age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home November 22, 2022.  She was born in Anderson, Indiana on November 10, 1943, to the late William C Bowling (Jack) and Phyllis (Rush) Hunt. Carol leaves behind three children Mike (Lisa) Kirby, Missy Wilson (Dan) and Joani (Todd) Scott, Nine Grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.   Other survivors include her brother, Larry (Kim) Hunt, and sister Crystal (Mitt) Parker.  She also leaves behind her Boston Terrier, Bullseye, many nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends.

Carol was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, Wayne, Mother Phyllis, Father Jack, sister Judy, brother Marvin, daughter Lynn Painter, Granddaughter Kyann, and Great Grandson Dylan Perkins.

Carol enjoyed working at Daleville McDonalds for 20 plus years. Anyone who knew Carol, knew she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandma who lived for her Family! She enjoyed cheering on her family as she spent hours on the ballfield and in the gym attending their many sporting events. She enjoyed listening to the love of her life strum the guitar, a good rummage and socializing with her family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday December 17, 2022 for friends / family to call from 1-4 p.m. at the Yorktown American Legion Post 321. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Yorktown American Legion, Post 321.
