Carmen Irene Altherr-Richwine, 42, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016, after a 12 year battle with cancer, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 25, 1974, in Anderson. She was a lifelong resident of Pendleton and graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1992. Carmen was a member of Pendleton Christian Church. She liked crafts and traveling but loved her family and children most of all. She also adored her pets and was an animal lover. Survivors include her children, Carissa & Blaine Richwine; parents George & Melissa (Bowden) Altherr; brother, Trent (wife, Jenny) Altherr; uncle, Jon (wife, Terri) Bowden; aunts, Ruth (husband, Todd) Borum & JoAnn Altherr; nieces & nephews, Cody, Hailey, Schyler, Bri, & Liz; and several cousins. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Pastor Jay Harvey officiating. Visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Lahm Chapel.
