Carl 'Blaine' Coahran

Carl (Blaine) Coahran, 92, Pendleton, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020, at his home with family by his side after an extended illness.He was born on March 2, 1928, in Macy, Indiana and was raised by his cherished grandparents, Clayton and Emma Shaw.Blaine graduated from Macy High School.He retired as a Truck Driver after many years on the road. Blaine enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1946 and spent his time in service in Japan. He took pride in his long career as a Truck Driver and enjoyed making friends along the way. In his later years he enjoyed coffee and laughs with his friends at Anitas Kitchen in Pendleton. He is survived by his daughter, Becky (GH) Perry of Pendleton; brother Ronnie Shaw of Wabash; granddaughter, Ginny (Joe) Shelton of Pendleton; grandsons, Jeremy, Jason, Andy Ryan, Joshua, Christopher; four close great-grandchildren, Chaston, Bekah, Kai, Nick; sister-in law, Marilyn Hockman of Quincy, IL. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews; and special friends at Ashbury Apartments; as well as Melanie Thorsen. Blaine was preceded in death by his grandparents; his wife of 56 years, Evelyn (Jones) Coahran; a son Andy Coahran ; and his brother, Clair Coahran.A funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel, Indiana.Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at the Funeral Home on Saturday.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
