Cara L. Russell, 59, Lapel, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020, at her home following an extended illness.She was born on January 19, 1961, in Greenfield, Indiana to Merritt "Toot" and Janet (Haskell) Forrer.She owned and operated a cleaning service for over 25 years.Cara loved decorating, gardening, and helping people. She never met a stranger and always put others first.She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Frank; two daughters, Sara (Brandon) Clem and Mary (Joshua) Mullins; three grandchildren, Callie, Harrison, and Quinn; two sisters, Cindy Stevens and Beth James; and three special friends, Kenny Williams, Gina Savage, and Nancy Russell.Cara was preceded in death by her parents; and her best friend, Carol Hankins Smith.There will be no visitation or funeral service at Caras request.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
